By the numbers
Impact across fields
SoHF scholars bring talent from every discipline, and their impact reaches across them all — from public health and climate science to policy, engineering, education, medicine and beyond. What unites them is more than academic promise. Each scholar has demonstrated the ability to lead, the courage to serve, and a clear intention to use her education in pursuit of something larger than herself.
Geography as strategic strength
Talent is globally distributed. Opportunity is not. SoHF scholars come from conflict-affected regions, remote communities, and fragile states. These contexts are in fact the sources of our scholars’ strength, resilience and ambition. The lived experience, institutional understanding, and long-term commitment they carry into their careers is precisely what fuels their leadership.

Results that endure
The outcomes are measurable. The impact is compounding.
15 PhDs and counting. SoHF scholars are advancing doctoral research in climate science, public health, economics, law, policy, education, engineering and other fields that matter deeply to society. They are building the knowledge, evidence and leadership the world needs for the decade ahead.
74 scholars in medicine and health. Doctors, nurses, public health leaders and allied health professionals are carrying their education back into clinics, hospitals and underserved communities where one qualified professional can change thousands of lives.
127 scholars from remote mountain areas. SoHF supports women from places the world too often overlooks — high-altitude regions, isolated valleys and communities with limited infrastructure or institutional support. The knowledge they bring is specific, grounded and irreplaceable.
66 scholars in STEM. Engineers, climate scientists, computer scientists, environmental specialists and data researchers are building the technical capacity the world urgently needs. Their work is powered by both academic excellence and lived understanding of what is at stake.

100 graduate-level scholarships. These scholars are moving into advanced study with purpose — gaining the expertise to teach, heal, design, research, lead and shape policy. Their degrees are not endpoints; they are launchpads for service.
300+ scholarships. 80+ institutions. 35 countries of origin. 27 countries of study. The Foundation’s reach is global, but its impact is deeply personal. Each scholarship represents a woman whose talent found a pathway, a family whose future changed, and a community that now has one more leader to count on.
98% graduation rate. This is the result of careful selection and steady support. SoHF invests in scholars’ potential and stays close enough to support their long-term success
Accountability
Reporting back to our community
SoHF produces an Annual Update covering scholar outcomes, financial performance, and program developments. These updates are how SoHF reports back to donors and stakeholders to demonstrate the impact of their support.
